One more Spot just opened up!

Bhakti Heart Center, San Juan Island, WA

August 19-21, 2022

The beautiful Sanskrit word Lila is most often translated as “Divine Play.” It refers to the playful and sweet relationship between the Absolute and the Physical World - the entire cosmos is the outcome of this creative activity. The word Lila reminds us that life is a dance, to be enjoyed and to be savored. We are divine beings, here on earth to experience all that life has to offer.

Lila is also used to describe the actions and adventures of the deities. The deity who best represents the attitude of lightness and playfulness is Sri Krishna. The first day of the retreat, August 19th, falls on a very special holiday...Krishna's birthday! Also known as Krishna Janmashtami, it is a very auspicious opportunity for us to let go of the heaviness that sometimes accompanies our everyday life, and embrace a curious, joyful and playful attitude.

Let's sing and dance and play together this August here at the Bhakti Heart Center!

During the retreat, we will:

*Sing lots of kirtan (with lot's of Maha Mantra!)
*Practice yoga asana and meditation daily
*Hear stories about Krishna's life and explore ways to connect our own playful and creative nature.
*Share 6 delicious, organic vegetarian meals
*Explore the forest, walk the trails, and commune with some truly amazing old-growth trees on sacred land
*Sing more kirtan!

Bhakti Heart Center is located on San Juan Island on 10 beautiful acres. We offer our home and these practices to you as a way for us all to remember the Truth and Beauty in our lives. To help us come back to our Center. Our intention is for this to be a healing space you can return to again and again, whether it is this physical space or the home within your own heart.
